Wool crewel work was revived as popular craft and professionally made for curtains during the period 1880 - 1920s stemming from an interest in the Aetshetic Arts & Crafts movement. The originals purposed for Jacobean to Queen Anne period four poster bed curtains. Such drawing is a testament to oriental luxury imports such as Palampores and other Far Eastern hybrids
Wool embroidery on cotton and newly relined and conserved with a mix of new and some of the original materials.
